I received this thing as a gift from a relative. It has a total of 32 small holes. I wasn't sure what it was until she told me that it is a votive holder. But I had already found another use for it:

LOL...that's great! I should send one of these to my Korean friend. The love brushing their teeth so much in Korea, that toothbrushes are most often sold in packs of 6 to 12 to 20. They all brush their teeth at work at lunch. We could keep on of these in the staff bathroom ;)
Wow, that's some serious brushing! Do they have any enamel left?
The Koreans could also use it to hold their chopsticks.
I thought it was a hollowed out piece of swiss cheese.
That's a good item. It holds toothbrushes and reminds you of all the holes you could get in your teeth by not brushing.
