OMG yes. What an awful gift. I play the piano and I would be so disappointed opening this up. Do the people who made this book just expect you to just get the one line of music and then be able to figure out the rest from there? I guess there are a lot of gifted musicians out there who can do that, but....
I love getting sheet music as a gift but this was just the worst! When I opened it I didn't even know what to say. I think I said, "Oh..."
Well, it does encourage "improv" if you want to keep playing.
You've just been given a new party game!
Just play each little bit as you go through the book, and you've got "Guess That Tune!"
Yeah, it is pretty bad just getting little bits of songs. You could always give the peson a bit of a musical instrument as a thank you gift. :)
